    The only two stats that matter for garrison are suppression and HARDNESS. Use single batallion of light tank. That's the whole division, 5 XP. As support companies no longer provide extra suppression, that's all you can do with garrison. 42 Light Tanks(make sure to produce 1965 ones for that as they're the cheapest) and 15 C&C equipment(use C2 and "cut corners"). As a result you have 110 IC and 96 manpower per 1 suppression point with 70% reduction of damage to the garrison. Can't tell much about the rest of his divisions, but low org and high combat width concern me. Org is probably result of him showing them with 1965 equipment and no doctrines so it might work.

    In general it's a good video, however I'd rather add a few points: 1)Due to how air targeting in HoI4 works, AA on screens is pointless. Air wings target capitals above all else. Moreover fleet AA damage reduction is capped at very low percentage, carrier air wings DON'T engage enemy planes unless the carrier is the one attacked and only air attack of attacked ship is counted. So basically your supercarrier full of AA VLS is right on point. Everything else, not so much. Basically the game ignores irl AA cruisers and job of screens; 2)due to aforementioned problem capitals have with air, making them antiscreen is a very divisive choice. Screens meanwhile have one job - survive. Because as long as they do, capitals do too. And as long as capitals survive, screens are also safe from air. So you can either reduce visibility of screens OR max out their light attack capability so that yours would melt enemy screens. 3)modern day destroyers are bigger and heavier then most light and some heavy cruisers of the past, some even are comparable to WWI battleships. And they keep growing. 4)battleships share the same economic vulnerability as carriers, however not only there are varied approaches to their design(missile Iowa project, arsenal ships, Kirov battlecruiser modernizations), they're one of the few naval vessel types that can use nuclear power without any compromises on safety or efficiency. 5)even torpedo launchers in the game are ridiculously overpriced compared to the price of a submarine, meanwhile nuclear reactors are too cheap and available to everyone for some reason. Moreover each added armament module increases sub visibility. So the best attack submarine would actually be cheapest hull with cheapest reactor and one single cheap torpedo launcher. It's spammable even by non-state actors and has ridiculous range. But yeah, can't be used near coasts. 6)don't use submarines as part of the same navy as your surface vessels. It just doesn't work. 7)DON'T PICK JEAN ECOULE(aka New School) DOCTRINE. It's a trap that aims to do more damage then good to you. Attack subs are the way to go for cheap standoff navy. Patrols boats have no worth as the game doesn't allow to use rivers. 8)you should have probably included naval planes into this guide

    Context: I'm playing curent version of MD, but MtG was the last expansion I've bought. So far my idea was to go for cheapest plane(1995 Trainer), take doctrine that reduces the cost of light aircraft and then use generic design company and air production spirit to boost stats and lower cost to around 120 IC. When fighting other countries with little to no airforce I'd say saturation is more important. Ideally you can make a variant of this same design that has maxed out upgrades, which both increases it's air defense and range massively. Then convert the 120 IC ones into better version. You will lose ALL fights against better planes, but there the answer is simple - 1)don't fight majors in air war expecting to win; 2)don't fight majors in air war; 3) DON'T FIGHT MAJORS 😅 P.S.: I'd say the same saturation priority works for navy and ground forces too. For navy the barebones nuclear attack submarine is very easy to amass(though why it's available to a non-nuclear states is a huge question) and C2 equipment and 1965 tanks, trucks and guns all have "cutting corners" upgrade options to provide you with cheapest possible equipment. It's horrendously bad(getting to 30 org with cheapest C2 is a challenge) even with designer bonuses, BUT bad equipment is still better then having no equipment and no trucks for logistics.

    With the new economic/electricity update a new use for investment loop appeared: Investing into fossil fuel powerplants in countries that don't have domestic fuel production as oil state. It massively boosts global demand for oil even if at first they start to buy from random places like Russia or Saudi Arabia, they eventually get to you. Selling almost all of your market oil feels like a power trip. Basically you're copying the idea and spirit of Belt&Road investments. And of course there are the usual - invest in ally, invest in future core, invest in future puppet, invest to boost diplomatic relations, invest in infrastructure in states that produce rare Earth elements to increase their amounts on the market, invest in dockyards to bankrupt your opposition by filling their building slots with weakest building.

    I like that you are trying to help people but this is putting less experienced player in a trap of spamming support companies and line artillery when that decreases org and in case of the artillery add too much combat width. Theres one of your space marine divisions that had 33 org which is not ideal for tank, infantry or space marine divisions. Edit: the key to getting good at hoi4 is understandin the mechanics and building your army around them, if I were to say somehing about these templates id say there are some that are pretty good but there are also some that are really bad. My advice is to think of whqt you need and build your divisions because the pretty good divisions might not work for your situation and the bad ones might actually be ok with the right conditions

    Medium Tank Destroyers make no fking sense at all. Heavy tanks (destroyers) usually have more stat focusses companies and have higher base values in armor. They are also not really more expensive as the ht td use 40 but the light and med ones 50 tanks. That offsets their individual price increase usually

    For anyone wondering, Grand Campaign I has ended. The streams did go into Stellaris for quite a bit, but an update which glitched flags and leader portraits forced its end.     HOI IV is factually bankrupt as a political simulator. Even in autocratic/technocratic regimes, the ideologies of societal blocks in their respective geographic locations should matter; see: the Yakut and Tajik peoples in the USSR. The idea that "democracy" is controlled by a chain of "policy decisions" for the benefit of the player is so fucking confusing and stupid to me. Maybe this is Paradox's quiet critique of democracy? There are no options for different electoral methods, and you have no insight into how government, legislature, currency-creation and economics are structured. There is too much missing from the game that is NOT fixed by the endless chain of DLCs published by Paradox, nor by the modding community. Not even BIce so-much-as acknowledges the problems here.
